Our Projects - Berkeley Modular

Berkeley Modular
The objective was to establish, tailor, and manage a Programme Management Office (PMO) for Berkeley Modular, a division of the Berkeley Group. The primary aim was to oversee and direct the successful completion of various modular construction projects from the factory based in Kent, ensuring adherence to lean manufacturing principles and effective programme management.
Throughout the duration of this initiative, direct involvement was ensured in the following key projects:
32 Urban Houses
This project marked the inception of the first urban houses designed using lean manufacturing principles. It utilised full-size prototypes and underwent a comprehensive research and development programme. The goal was to optimise efficiency and productivity in construction, while maintaining high standards of quality and design innovation.
85 Apartments in Kidbrooke Village, London
The second significant project was the development of 85 apartments across two cores. This was part of a major regeneration project at Kidbrooke Village, London. The programme management spanned from the initial conception through to the Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) stage, ensuring meticulous planning and risk mitigation throughout.
8 Modular Apartment Buildings at Southall Waterside
An expansive project entailed the construction of 8 modular apartment buildings ranging from 6 to 12 stories. This development was part of the broader regeneration programme at Southall Waterside near Ealing, London. The buildings comprised 20% affordable housing and 80% privately-owned units, contributing significantly to the community's housing needs and economic diversity.
