Unilever
This commission involved leading the Project Management Office (PMO) for a substantial and intricate project, valued at approximately £100 million for Unilever. The venture was complex and involved a large, multi-disciplinary team and interested stakeholders.
The scope of the project was to manage the construction build and CAT A fit out of two interconnected self-contained buildings. The structures were designed to be linked at the ground floor and sixth floor levels, complemented by the development of a multi-storey car park, enhancing the overall infrastructure.
The project aimed to achieve the highest standards of sustainability and innovation. The specific targets included:
• LEED Platinum Accreditation: Ensuring that the buildings meet the stringent criteria for energy efficiency, water usage, air quality, and overall environmental impact.
• WELL Platinum Accreditation: Focusing on the health and wellness of the occupants, the project planned to integrate features that promote physical and mental well-being.
• Net Zero Carbon in Occupation: Striving to minimize the carbon footprint, the project implemented strategies to achieve zero carbon emissions during its operational phase.
• Smart Building Credit: Incorporated advanced technologies and systems to create a smart, responsive, and efficient building environment.
This project represented an ambitious and forward-thinking initiative by Unilever, to create state-of-the-art facilities that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable and conducive to occupant well-being. The commitment to achieving LEED and WELL Platinum accreditation, along with Net Zero Carbon and Smart Building certification, underscores Unilever's dedication to excellence and innovation in modern construction.
